1. Acceptance
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using StrideDex, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally able to agree to these terms and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for safeguarding your login information and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Fitness, nutrition, and medical disclaimer
StrideDex provides general fitness and nutrition information for educational and informational purposes. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment and is not a substitute for a physician, registered dietitian, trainer, or other qualified professional.
Exercise and dietary changes involve risk. Stop exercising and seek appropriate care if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or other concerning symptoms. Consult a qualified professional before beginning a program, especially if you are pregnant, have an injury or medical condition, take medication, or have concerns about nutrition or exercise.
4. Estimates and recommendations
Calorie, macro, meal-photo, barcode, restaurant, performance, and progress information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. AI-selected or automated suggestions are not guarantees of results. You are responsible for reviewing entries, serving sizes, allergens, ingredients, exercise form, and whether a recommendation is appropriate for you.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Some features require StrideDex Premium. Subscription prices, billing periods, trials, and available plans are displayed before purchase. Purchases made through the iOS app are billed to your Apple account and are governed by Apple’s applicable payment terms.
Unless canceled, an auto-renewing subscription renews at the end of each billing period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple account subscription settings. Cancel before renewal to avoid the next charge. Deleting your StrideDex account or the app does not automatically cancel your subscription. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under its policies.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Services, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with operation or security, scrape or reverse engineer protected portions, upload unlawful or harmful content, impersonate another person, exploit scanning or coaching systems, or use StrideDex in a way that violates law or another person’s rights.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of information and content you submit. You grant StrideDex a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and use that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the Services. You represent that you have the right to submit the content.
8. StrideDex ownership
The Services, branding, logo, software, design, selection systems, text, and other StrideDex materials are owned by or licensed to StrideDex and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms grant only a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Services.
9. Third-party services
StrideDex may rely on or link to third-party services, data, restaurants, products, platforms, or websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party availability, accuracy, terms, privacy practices, products, or services.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using StrideDex at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Services, address violations, comply with law, or discontinue a feature. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy, fitness outcomes, weight change, health results, or that every error will be corrected.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, StrideDex will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on fitness, nutrition, scan, restaurant, or coaching information. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
12. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. We may update these terms as the Services change. Continued use after updated terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
